Reminder: Type Away on Saturday, November 29

Hello Typists;

This is a reminder that next Saturday, November 29, we will be having another Type Away session at the Special Collections Library, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

What is a Type Away you might ask? Good question! This is an opportunity to join us in a writing-focused session. Bring your typewriter (or we can provide one for you) and a project to work on -- it can be letter writing, short stories, memoirs, poems or just brainstorming to paper -- and you will have a solid hour of no distractions, just writing. We will have a 15 minute period before and after for chatting.

Because this is the month of November, some of you may be participating in NaNoWriMo. If so, this is a good opportunity to make some word-count progress!

The Special Collections Library is located at the northwest corner of Edith and Central, we will be meeting in the New Mexicana Room. If you haven’t been there before just as the staff at the front counter.

Because the library lacks a dedicated parking lot, if you drive to the event you can choose to either use the paid private lot across Edith (on the northeast corner with Central,) or park on the street. Keep in mind that on Saturdays parking meters are still enforced, but spaces requiring parking permits are not enforced on Saturdays.
